I'm tired of he 51% politics we have seen since Lee Atwater redefined the meaning of public service. What bothered me most about Hillary Clinton was her vote on Iran. The vote in which she declared Iran's army to be a terrorist group. To me that said that her first instinct is to figure out how triangulate voter blocks and keep hopping the fence between progressive and conservative. That is the essence of the politics of 51%.

Obama's instinct seems to be based on the issue, and not the perceived response to the issue. That's a trait I really want in a President.

For the record, I don't care one way or another about the race or gender of these two candidates. I'm much more interested in getting our country back to peace and prosperity that the symbolism of a new first something or other.
