I'm on the same page at the moment. I have to wonder if he could draft Bill for VP. This would certainly appeal to Bill's
sense of humor, as he could blow raspberries to HillBilly and
return to SNL for sketches.
A Canadian friend recently remarked, while we were commiserating over the recent fervor of Russian Nationalism and the Czarist movement to crown Putin, that the World needed
an imperialistic Russian to balance out our Clowns and in a few
short years to go head to head with the Chinese.
Seems to have merit in my book, as we have unilaterally totally screwed things up, and consequently I've come to the conclusion that I don't how much longer the World can continue with the US as a lone Superpower.

KT,

>Lew, the only question about the election is whether Obama or Hillary will be the next President. I'm pulling for Obama.<

If you want a democrat for president, you better start pulling for Hillary and holding your nose. Hillary running will energize the far right wing, but the republicans would find a way to energize their base without running against her anyway.

The sad fact is that there are still some people in this country that will not vote for a black man and some that will vote for him specifically because he is a black man.

The difference is that somewhere between 95% - 99% of the latter group would have voted for the democrat anyway, but a huge percentage of the bigoted democrats that would have voted for the democrat could switch to the republican side against Obama. And please refrain from suggesting something as stupid as saying there aren't bigots on the left.
