Bush cutting taxes has led to record revenues. When you ignore that fact, you are a democrat. Your analogy is unrelated. And yes, raising taxes with the goal of getting people off of oil is the govt controlling the free flow of oil. And it hits the lower and middle class of people that must drive to work every day. Democrats are hypocrites when it comes to helping people. If you want to control the deficit, then you should control spending.
