seminole,

i realize that the talking points ad hominem attack on anyone who says something contrary to "the rich are awsome and deserve all they have due to their inherent superiority" mantra is to try and make it a class envy issue, but it doesn't apply.

try to get beyond the ego bruise from the idea you aren't the master of your universe - you were very fortunate to even be able to post to si and have this conversation. as am i.

i have pretty much all i want. somehow, you've reached the conclusion i'm materialistic, but your wrong thinking led to a wrong conclusion.

the *issue*, if you can stay on them and off the ad hominem attacks, is that one's parents (including where they live and how they live their lives) are, by far, the single biggest indicator of the future success of any child.

we didn't pick our parents, therefore, we were lucky to have gotten good parents.

i know the ego of some is such that they have to feel superior to children like these kids:

the reality is that they could easily be us and we could easily be them... except for some timely good luck.

i'm amazed that so many have such a negative reaction to this truth. i guess some prefer lies more than truth - even if it is obvious to a small child.
