zeus,

This is another homosexual priest case. All his relationships were with adults.

I don't believe I've heard anyone deny that a meaningful percentage of priests are homosexuals. They've said that a very very small percentage of priests are pedophiles and that those few individuals were responsible for most of the cases.

I believe I read that this guy was accused of behavior unacceptable for a priest long before this. On the advice of "experts", he was sent for "treatment" and returned to duty. That has been typical. The church sought out advice, followed it, and it turned out to be disastrous for everyone involved. It's hard to imagine such stupidity on the part of the "experts" or the church, but I guess it shouldn't shock anyone that some members of the church are naive about sexual matters.

In the end, this is just another case of a despicable individual who was not cut out to become a priest. He should punished for his crimes (and he is).

I realize a concept like that is foreign to a bigot like you that likes to paint everyone in the Catholic church with the same brush for the actions of a small percentage, but some day it might even sink into your thick head...unless of course you are an intrinsically evil person also.
