There is that.

So much have stacked up over the past few years that we are in new territory. Frankly, the closest analog, the train wreck during the '70s and '80s was bad enough, and we are arguably in a worse position now than then.

The whole ball of wax can unravel in so many unpredictable ways. And if it does, the Republican party will never be the same again.

And it isn't just because there will be a lack of chairs when the music stops. Not only have they done little to fix the problems they inherited, they actively made them worse. Not to mention a whole hat full of ones that weren't problems before.
