Compare Giuliani's campaign style with the ice princess:

>Giuliani plays pollster

Mon Dec 10, 2007

SAN FRANCISCO - Rudy Giuliani surveyed would-be voters Monday on some of the most urgent issues of the day, such as whether their drinks were refilled to whether they were greeted promptly at a diner.

The former New York mayor and Republican presidential hopeful was glad-handing his way through Mel's Drive-in when he found himself with a slip of paper. He joked that someone had tried to get him to pay their tab.

In fact, restaurant manager Armando Ruiz had pressed a "How Did We Do?" survey into Giuliani's hand for an autograph.

Realizing what he had, Giuliani invited himself to sit down with a group of diners. Slipping into their booth, he recited several questions.

Were they greeted promptly at the table? Was the staff helpful and friendly? Was the order correct and prompt? Would they recommend the restaurant to others?

"What do you say?" he asked the patrons.

"Whatever you say," one of his tablemates replied. The restaurant was packed with supporters, among them the group at this table, apparently.

"You agree with all this?" he asked. They agreed. "Then I can sign it. Good."

Guiliani scrawled his signature.<
