GE Wind turbine deal ....

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) --

General Electric Co.'s energy unit said Tuesday that it will provide 333 wind turbines for about $650 million to projects in New York and Texas that will add nearly 500 megawatts to the country's renewable-energy supply.
GE Energy said that it expects the turbines to be shipped in 2009.
The agreement is the fourth contract between GE Energy and Noble Environmental Power, a renewable-energy supplier with more than 4,000 megawatts of wind power under development in several states. In 2006, peak summer demand in the United States grew 4% to 789,475 megawatts, according to the Energy Information Administration.
