My standard size is 19 inch. If I did put winter tires on my car, I'd probably put 18 inchers. 17 inch might be too big of drop.

My G35 is my only car, and it does snow in this area, but nothing like where you live. If I lived where you do, I would have gotten a different car. I bought the car in late 2005 and I think I've only gotten stuck out on the road once (although there where some hairy moments, and also there where times when I was stuck at home)

Edit I noticed that the link didn't go where I thought it would go. I searched for Winter tires for a Z, but now when I go there, it only shows a general page about winter tires.

Maybe this link is better
tirerack.com

or

tirerack.com

They are "Performance winter tires". Probably much better in the dry than regular snow tires, but still a compromise, they won't be as good as the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's I will put on in a few days (the original tires are pretty good, but they are worn now, and I think the PS2s are a bit better, there was some Kumho tires for about half the price of the Michelins but they had poor reviews)

I wouldn't get them because I don't have any place to store tires, and also because I would only really need them a few times a year.
