But this thread is about investing and not politics.

...and I'm amazed that a guy with only 2 free posts left, who is so concerned about staying on topic, would exercise poor judgement, and post on a topic that he is complaining about.

Again....just amazing, perhaps even somewhat shocked. -bg-

Agman,

The new Ron Paul commercial is playing on CNBC on XM. It is his best commercial to date. It is on message and to the point.

The guy is building steam. And people LOVE him. I don't remember the last time that has happened.

Okay, howzabout this? Marks the current and future confluence of politics and money, and no mention of Ron Paul:

'But this thread is about investing and not politics.'

Politics will exert more direction on the markets than any other single factor in the next year.

Politics over-

Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Israel, Russia. Politics over the deficits, US dollar policy, Fec and US Treasury policy, China trade & currency reform, tax reform - death tax, Bush Tax cuts, capital gains and as Slider said- welfare, or warfare- depending on who wins the 2008 presidential election.

Politics determines the direction of the economy and the markets- and given the state of markets and politics- 2008 stands to be of historical political importance.
