Marcos still surprised by the pullback with such EXCELLENT results on KTN but we have some potential news as a booster. The deal with Klondike Star should provide some decent targets :

Mr. James McDonald of Kootenay reports

SANTA LUCIA UPDATE - JOINT VENTURE PROJECT

Kootenay Gold Inc. and Klondike Silver Corp. have released the update report from on the Santa Lucia project in Mexico.

Santa Lucia is located in southern Sonora state, Mexico, and comprises two concessions covering about 9,350 hectares. Mineralization comprises classic epithermal and mesothermal-style quartz veining, silicification, stockwork and breccias.

Two areas of identified mineralization occur, one on the north part of the project and a second on the south part of the project. Combined, alteration and mineralization of the two zones cover over 20 square kilometres. The zones are about 12 kilometres apart. Grab samples taken by Kootenay Gold range from background to 648 grams per tonne (g/t) silver and 12 g/t gold (as analyzed by 34-element ICP with an AA assay finish on silver and gold conducted by ALS Chemex in Vancouver, B.C.). Given the large extent of mineralization in multiple structures and host rocks potential for the discovery of a medium- to large-sized deposit of silver and gold is considered good.

The company has recently concluded detailed airborne EM and magnetometer surveys along 1,254 line kilometres spaced 75 metres apart and acquired a dataset from exploration in the late 1990s. The historic data consist of 1,526 soil samples, 450 rock chip samples from hand and mechanical trenches, geologic mapping, and a ground magnetometer survey covering a 12-square-kilometre area.>

But even more so will be the results from Murphy Creek that KTN is drilling:
2007-09-05 03:10 ET - News Release

Mr. James McDonald reports:

PROGRESS REPORT: KOOTENAY ANNOUNCES DRILL RESULTS PENDING ON FOUR SEPARATE DRILLING PROGRAMS IN MEXICO AND BRITISH COLUMBIA
MURPHY CREEK DRILL PROGRAM, B.C. (Joint Venture)

Drilling has now commenced at the Murphy Creek on a rediscovery of a gold occurrence not catalogued in the Mineral Occurrence files of the B.C. government. Several old pits within a 10,000-square-metre area expose sulphide mineralization in a granodiorite. The impression is mineralization and alterations are creating a pipe-like body. Characteristics of the conductor are consistent with a pipe-shaped body which is in agreement with observations made in the pits. The company is currently negotiating a partnership agreement for the Murphy property. Should a successful agreement be reached, the company will expand drilling to include the priority electromagnetic conductor occurring on the southwestern edge of the gold-bearing sulphide mineralization. >>>>>

I think it is the mood of the market that KTN has sold off. In a hot market the stock would be over 3 bucks on the way to 4.
