Yes, high capacity DVRs tend to be overpriced. The difference between the X GB version, and the 2X GB version is almost always more than the difference between the X and 2X GB hard drives, and may be more than not just the difference but the total cost of the 2X GB hard drive. What I really want is a directTivo, with HD capablity (even though I don't have an HDTV yet), a large hard driver, all the new Tivo features, and easy backup of the data. Unfortunately that option doesn't exist.
