New world order "Omar Bongo—the longest-serving ruler in Africa—celebrated 40 years in power in Gabon. In Libreville pictures of him hang everywhere. But outside the country, Gabon achieved a far more impressive landmark, when it raised $1 billion on the international markets—becoming only the third country in continental sub-Saharan Africa in two decades to issue sovereign bonds abroad.

Something must be wrong here Mr. TJ! We need democracy. We need human rights! Then the money will come! NOT BEFORE!

Oh I just forgot! this is the new world order:

The West African country has oil, close ties with China and better-managed public finances, which are three of the ingredients sought after by Africa's foreign creditors—even those who may struggle to find Gabon on a map.

I think there will be some democracy and some human rights after this moolah enter the country...

Jay, on top of hanging my browser, this film sucked. Dont know why i spent sixteen minutes watching it... So what is there to be proud about? Massive environmental degradation? lop sided male/female birth ratio? cave age working conditions? How come, if China is so good, no one wants to immigrate there?

I`ll be the first to praise the almost heroic effort of a people to improve their living lot, and i am delighted to hear it is happening, but if you are going to brag about something, brag about the good stuff (i am addressing the movie creators there...)

Communism without a doubt was one of the greatest human tragedies in the history of mankind. Unfortunately, capitalism is only slightly better...

step1

Now let the pelting start...

re atomfilms.com

entertaining and educational, pretty funny if not sad.

With lines such as "like lady detectives with swollen testicles.." and "hey this finger .. your constipation.." is this guy the Chinese Borat...? A curious parody.

Ha Ha Ha America is a very important film, and all young people (high school/college) should see this film and start talking about what it means. Watch it more than once, imo. This film is not promoting China, but is a wake up call to the US. What do we make anymore? NOTHING, OR ALMOST NOTHING. How many US students can use a graphing calculator? Why are we giving billions to China? China is busy with its nose to the grind stone, manufacturing everything it possibly can while America is in a war they can't win. This film is about a wake up call to the US, not a promotion about the Chinese government or way of life. Are we just going to ignore the fact that China is more shrewd, and beating us at our own game, Capitalism? What will happen when a communist country controls all manufacturing, and much of the worlds resources? Does anyone not think that China will be buying up all the resources they can get they're hands on? What happens then? Look at Citibank, Merrill Lynch, etc. Wake up people! Oh, yes, I just received an offshore marketing call from Sprint Wireless while watching this. This Film should be titled WAKE UP AMERICA and be required viewing for every young person in the US! How many Americans that gave their life for this country are turning in their graves at what's been happening in the last 20 years, and especially the last 8? Our politicians, and corporate leaders have sold us down the river for nothing more than greed for more $$$$ in their own pockets (which soon may be worthless anyway). The only consolation about all the Wall Street bonuses paid this year to all the wall street crooks is that their stocks are tanking. Rant over.
