The only time I see anything comparable to those snow diamonds is when I'm in an expensive jewelry store. The want thousands for sparkle that can't hold a candle to what I had for free.

Not that I don't like a jewel once in a while. Specially for my wife.

I think we are all so rich in spirit that we must be the chosen ones. I can't imagine being happier with more money or more stuff.

Less stuff might make me happier. I have a hard time disposing of something once I possess it, which makes the snow diamonds all the more precious.

Did you see this poem I'm posted a few times elsewhere?

EPHEMERA

Snowflakes
So lovely
They should last forever
Drifting down
Casting shadows
Under the lamppost
A young tongue
Lies in wait
I long to see her catch
Already gone
Others come, eagerly
She has time
But not enough.
