I'm surprised Pacific Crest wasn't covering SPWR already. But anyway Pacific Crest picked up SPWR today and also FSLR with a $300+ target, yesterday UBS started first solar with a $360 target, and BofA has a research report out on solar which is highly bullish and I am trying to get ahold of that.

All this rush at the end of the year by analysts tells me that 08 is going to be the year of solar stocks. People always think the run is done when new IPOs like SPWR, FSLR pop up and triple etc out of the gate. But thats what GOOG did in 04 with a much higher mkt cap. A lot of people sold GOOG in Dec 04 at around $200 when it had doubled to an astounding 50 billion mkt cap. But the reality is that 05 was really GOOGs year for growth. At the end of 04 a bunch of analysts like UBS jumped on board, thats whats happening here.

I am looking for at least a double in all of these stocks in 08. Probably a triple esp SPWR which has a lot of leverage.
