It's probably only worth the place this came from (the Yahoo BB), but here's an NG IR response to a shareholder question:

My question and NG's response are as below:
-----------------------------------------------------
Hello,

Ever since your terrible news announcement, NG's share price has been
drifting lower almost daily. Is there no near time catalyst for your
stock to rebound? Are you doing the best you can to help the stock
find a floor such as perhaps seeking strategic alternatives?

It is very frustrating for an investor to have to deal with a stock
that seems to have no promise in sight. Please don't say just sell my
shares because I have suffered enough in this ordeal.

It's either the market is irrational and manipulating your stock or
you guys have more bad news behind the scenes which we retail
investors don't know.
---------------------------------------------------

I have been on the phone nearly continuously since Nov 26, and it is
sometimes difficult to get through. My apologies that we haven't managed
to connect yet.

The reason I prefer to speak with people in person is because inevitably
one question leads to another, and it's much easier to have a
conversation and address everything at once.

However, with regard to your questions below, certainly the drop in
NovaGold's share price has been alarming for shareholders. I believe we
have previously discussed that the drop in our share price does not
accurately reflect the value of Galore Creek in our portfolio. Galore
Creek was generally valued at about 25% of our portfolio, and the stock
should have dropped by something close to that amount. Furthermore, the
value in Galore Creek remains, with a huge gold and copper resource and
all the infrastructure that we have built this year. Both NovaGold and
Teck Cominco are very committed to turning Galore Creek into a mine, and
are working to develop alternative strategies that make the project more
economic.

We are working hard to advance our other projects and to get news out to
the market. We plan to release Donlin Creek drill results and an update
for all of our projects before year end, and will be putting out a
resource estimate for Donlin in the new year. We are also working with
Barrick to complete the feasibility study and initiate permitting at
Donlin Creek, and that should be another catalyst for our stock to
rebound as people gain clarity on the strategy at Donlin Creek and its
production timeline. In addition, we have first production looming at
Rock Creek, transitioning us from a developer to a producer and
providing the company's first cash flow.

I hope this short email has provided some guidance on our near-term
business plans. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have
further questions. While I am often on the phone, please do leave a
message and I'll get right back to you.

Regards,
