Gib, I don't think Americans are fearful. They are compliant. If they step out of line, they know they'll be tasered if they are lucky and shot if they are unlucky and gaoled at the drop of a hat.

Best to just be compliant.

There is a strong teutonic streak in the USA.

If you ask around, I don't think you'll find many who are scared of Osama.
