And I'm not a China-basher either. In fact, I think they're doing great, all things considering. And I have a personal angle as well, as I have Chinese relatives and so get some inside perspectives.

But, as always, there are negatives and tradeoffs. Pollution being one such. The lack of culture being another. (You can blame the Cultural Revolution for that one.)
