DFS -decided ti buy a starter position at 15$. The stock has become cheap enough for an entry IMO, despite the shortcomings of DFS (low market share & growth).

For [t]DFS[/t]
+ rapid growth of DEBIT card network leads to growth in non-interest income
+ Concentration on credit quality versus loan growth
+ UK business
+ Visa settlement should be a substantial % of DFS' market cap
+ Attractive takeover target long term
+ Management energized and after Spinoff

- Higher funding costs and tougher securitization
- Chargeoff rates are increasing
- Slow growth and low market share
