School board members are free to pray if they want. They are free to pray as a group at the beginning of a school board meeting if they want. Every session of Congress opens with a prayer. Every President is sworn into office on a Bible. Nothing says it has to be this way, but nothing says it is illegal for this to happen either. The school board member who objected to the opening prayer had every right not to pray.

Free exercise of religion is not be infringed.

Liberals are at their most ineffectual when they advertise just how out of step with ordinary Americans they are.
