Only if you subvert logic in favor of belief. I would suggest that is what you are doing. A dozen similar systems have half the cost of our very different system. There are clear reasons why they are less expensive (detailed here many times). Any unbiased casual observer would say "gee, why don't they switch to the cheaper system?". Ah, but that might slow the bandwagon... The is no bandwagon for single payer. It's a very minority opinion... far outweighed by the support for the status quo.
