You might have missed an earlier post I made re MSM choosing not to cover Hunter as extensively as they cover Guiliani, Rommney. Huckabee, McCain etc I never got the impression that MSM covered Huckabee much before he surged, though random voices like Newt Gingrich thought well of him as a candidate. My impression is that Huckabee got around the MSM and resonated with the evangelical voters of Iowa, which made him surge in the polls. Only then did the MSM cover him. This is the kind of thing that can happen in the very retail campaigns of Iowa and New Hampshire.
