He's talking 100% (or 20%) cost difference per patient.

I'm not so sure that is accurate anymore with the weakening of the dollar. International cost comparisons are not always simple to make. But it is clear that we are paying more per patient.

That's an important point, but I agree with you its not very relevant to the specific discussion. John's trying to say its relevant by saying that its such a large difference that it makes the other points we are bringing up questionable or insignificant. That supposedly when you have a 100% difference in costs a sample of one on one side and maybe a dozen on the other, is enough to come to some sort of firm conclusion on the issue. I think that point is bogus but that's the point he's trying to make.
