It's a normal secular bear market correction, and you have
to take inflation into account. SPX=800 will be SPX=500 or
lower in 2002 dollars. I'm really thinking of a repeat
of the 70-s-early 80-s bear market, and that one was almost
flat, actually, in nominal terms.
