That's not really true. Many Californians like me, Floridians, Las Vegans etc., took our bubble winnings and went to cheaper elsewheres and caused echo bubbles. Not everywhere, just where housing was cheaper.

True but the only places that responded with increasing house prices were ones already experiencing considerable population growth and in some cases, limited space in which to expand. Des Moines housing prices have moved little. SLC's have moved up nicely. And btw, you won't see prices fall by very much in those places except we go into a depression.
