I consider myself a centrist, and I feel much more comfortable with Obama's message than with Edwards', even though in the particular case of health care reform I agree with Edwards' position.

Hmm, I don't really consider myself a centrist, more of a left wing liberal, to use an old and outmoded term. I agree with you, certainly, on the Edwards' health care plan, which I gather from what I read is closer to Clinton and further from Obama in the provision that requires everyone to have it.

As for the message, I'm not yet clear what Obama's is. I suspect I will get much more so as we go along. And it all depends on how strongly he is aware of the ways in which large economic interests are now players on both sides other aisle. And the difficulties of outmanuevering them. If he is so aware and can outflank them with his "we're all in this together" mantra, more power to him. I'm watching.
