"Libby was convicted for a crime other than what the investigation was launched for. "

Excuse me. Are you claiming that if you are successful at obstructing justice, then you should go free?

Libby was convicted for treason and was guilty, as was his boss Cheney for ordering him to commit treason, the fascist lawyer Addington and Bush's "brain" Rove for helping him carry out the outing of Plame for selfish political cover-up reasons.

Libby is as guilty as they get. Technically he was only charged with perjury and obstruction, but everyone knows the real crime was treason. And you are guilty of it too by lying to support that creep.
