Bush-Cheney created much of danger in the Islamic world. Back in 2001 before and especially after 9-11 we had the entire world's sympathy, including 90% of the Muslim world. Even Iran was offering to help us, and they did to some extent. Bush-Cheney had 80% backing in the US and could have used that to do any number of great good helpful things for the country and planet, but what did they do instead? The argument that democrats can't protect us from terrorism is ridiculous. 9-11 happened on Bush's watch. CLinton actually stopped major terrorists attacks by acting. And Edwards would be fine at homeland defence. So this is really not an issue the GOP_ can use. Their solution was to make things worse after all. Much worse. The GOP also devastated our military might, squanbdering a trillion dollars in the process and stealing a big chunk of it for themselves.
