Seriously, with any of the current republican nominees becoming the next president, with the only exception of Paul, there is simply no chance the Patriot Act or whatever else introduced by this administration will be retracted, or the Iraq war will end. With the democrats in power the war will definitely end, but I'm not so sure if all these acts restricting freedoms will be retracted. Quite likely IMHO, if there is enough public pressure. No clue what Paul would do. Eliminating the IRS, the Fed, the DOD, the DOE, and a bunch of government programs seems pretty crazy to me. I'm sure most of that won't fly, and Paul's chances of winning are still very slim at the moment.
