I take it your bashing the FF's is your way of surrendering the idea they are the intellectual forebears of liberals?

I am not bashing the FFs. They were pretty progressive for the times.

The Founding Fathers were against tyranny (including the tyranny of the very rich or big corps before they were big corps) and organized religion, especially orthodox religion like the evangelical movement. Those were their two main points.

That's why they organized the Constitution the way they did. They also insisted we needed a strong independent press to expose corrupt politicians and should engage in truthful civil debates to come to suitable compromises. They would not at all approve of any of the rightwing propaganda and divisiveness Bush-Cheney-Delay-Rove have been using. They were against any such behavior.

They also made it very easy to impeach a president, even by charging him with a misdeneamor. Their point was the president can never be above the law, even minor ones. Bush-Cheney have basically refused to obey any laws. Any law they don't want they change or ignore. This is another big reason Bush-Cheney are traitors.
