I have heard Dr. Paul say "build a stronger defense" many times in his presentations.

His key point is sometimes missed: We can have a huge defense outlay and spread it out all over the World, thinner and thinner. Does this make us Stronger? Isn't wiser use of our resource the better answer? Heaven knows, the money spent in Iraq might have bought a "stronger defense" if deployed elsewhere....or even half of it...or a quarter.

Until the recent NIE the idea of spreading ourselves even further by taking on Iran militarily seemed possible. Would we have been stronger by attacking them? With what we know now...and might have known then <g>.

I didn't say it was a quote, you did... you put those quotes there, not I... he said the thought that Iran could attack us is "preposterous"... you continue to skate around the issue and that's because RP has no position on terrorism... this is plain and simple, you continue to be his apologist, that's okay, but let's call it what it is...

RP has already said numerous times elsewhere that we have no business being in that region, that we should remove our troops ASAP and leave those people to their own resources... there's nothing to discuss, he has no grasp of the legitimacy of the threat...

He also says in that tape that we have not been attacked in 230 years... huh?
