Not a small amount, I agree. However, the amounts evaporating
in the credit market crisis are not small either, and this
action shows it. They have been doing this for a while
now. My guess is that it's not working. The bond market is
bigger than the Fed?

This smells like desperation and panic. The same with
the usual stock futures pump today, probably driven by
this collective injection. I'd like to have a peek
behind the scenes to see what is REALLY going on.
