TH - 80%...you must doing something right! A few things, actually. I was doing about half of that earlier this year but I think I am around 15% now. That doesn't incorporate the bullion though, if I add that in, it will boost my total return for the year substantially.

One of the best things I did was cut back on base metal positions earlier this year. After having held some of those positions for several years, it was a little tough (for me) to push the button on that, but it preserved quite a bit of gain.

Some of the biggest mistakes for the year include maintaining positions in the uranium sector, not allocating more aggressively in the food/ag sector and not taking partial profits on way overbought positions. I think the uranium sector will eventually come back in to favor, although I think Round Two will be more selective in that the rising tide may not lift all boats. Companies with defined resources and a viable plan to get into production may be the best bet. I did not listen to the interview, but apparently Brendan Kyne was on BNN the other day and said 2008 will not be the year for the U stocks, but things will get interesting after that. That is closer to when some of the up-and-comers will be in production or close to it. For that reason I would focus on companies that are in permitting now.

As for food/ag, I think there is still time to get exposure to that sector, but I have not gotten any further than my one position in Viterra (Sask Wheat Pool). Still missing the bus on the junior ferts, for which I have no excuse other than lethargy.

Cheers,

tsl
