I've should have known. What's particularly disgusting is how Wall Street pawned this garbage off on the states. Wall Street definitely needs more regulation. While the states are getting burned, Goldman Sachs will have a bonus and earning pool of $20 billion in 2007.

It's pretty amazing how Lehman (and probably others) dumped the subprime stuff on the states as it was crashing. Just had to find someone stupid enough to buy it I guess.

Goldman Sachs is one of the financial "winners" in all this subprime mess. While they sold SIVs full of subprime little stinkbombs from one hand, they were shorting the exact same instruments with the other! Our current Sec. Treas. was running the show much of that time. Perfect Bushie action!
