The fact you don't know those people doesn't mean the arbitron statistics are not valid. We all tend to observe worlds like ourselves....but other worlds exist. <g>

Think how many deluded people out there don't post on SI but still exist! <g>

(Actually, the network news is still a vast and mostly trite and boring wasteland - as per usual. The only difference between it's news and the cable news though seems to be splashier graphics, bolder color combinations, and a Hell of a lot more YELLING, Histrionics, and notable outbreaks of childish illogic on cable....)

You are HALF correct in that last statement.

The truly GROWING information outlet is ONLINE (but there, too, neither broadcast network, NOR cable network, is pacing the field as leaders...)

Cable itself, however, while still 'growing', is long past it's salad days of fastest growth....
