Ted, > Let's look at the facts......yeah, unemployment has been below 5% for the past year even as the economy fails to produce the 150k jobs per month all economists agree is the amount required to meet the needs of an expanding workforce. How can that be, Ten?

a) This has nothing to do with your position that Europe's 10% unemployment is better.

b) No, not all economists agree on your statement, unless you can point me to a generally accepted formula that produced that 150K jobs per month number.

c) I agree that the current economy is running out of steam, but listening to you guys, one would be convinced that the economy never had any steam to begin with.

> A recent survey shows that nearly 60% of Americans believe we are in recession. Why?

The general mood of the nation is one of pessimism.

Not too surprising when the GOP is stumbling, the Democrats have invested in defeat and recession, the Iraq War continues to drag on, and the press becomes too focused on the trite.
