Israel sends Christmas cheers to American Christians:

IDF Missile Strike Targets Bethlehem Manger, Killing at least 12

wakeupfromyourslumber.com

>>The Israel Occupation Forces killed at least 12 people on Monday in two separate incidents.

In the first incident, an Israel Air Force aircraft opened a missile strike on what they described was a terrorist cell, operating out of a manger near Bethlehem. The IOF spokesperson stated that although their intelligence was far from accurate, being obtained by a now deceased subject who mysteriously died while being interrogated, the IOF could take no chances on the victims being civilians.

Witnesses who lived in the area said that there was a couple with a child, staying at the manger. The couple had been driven out of their home by the IOF, in order for the Concrete Barrier Wall that Israel is constructing, to be built over their meager home.

Since there was no room in the overcrowded Palestinian refugee camp nearby, the couple had sought shelter in the manger.

They stated that the husband, who went by the name "Joseph" was not in the manger at the time of the missile strike. Joseph had been working at a carpenter shop in Occupied Palestine when the IOF missiles slammed into the manger.

The mother, known only as "Mary", was killed, along with her baby child. There were also three uncles from the East visiting the manger at the time of the strike and they were killed.

In another missile strike in the Bethlehem area, a group of shepherds tending their sheep in the hills were also targeted by the IOF and killed.

Residents in the area said they were not terrorists, as claimed by the IOF, but simple shepherds taking care of their sheep.

An IOF spokesperson said since Israel had deemed the sheep to be an "existential" threat, the shepherds and sheep were destroyed.

When asked about the wanton slaughter of Palestinian civilians, Israeli PM Olmert said, "No one knows the pain, the fear, and the uncertainty the Palestinians feel more than I do. This I can say with absolute certainty, since it was I who ordered the strikes." Olmert added: "Since Palestinians won't recognize the land we stole from them as being ours and as an exclusive Jewish state, then they have only themselves to blame for all of the misery, death and destruction we rain down upon Palestinians on a daily basis."

Contacted for comment on the IOF killing civilians, U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stated that she was worried that the IOF wouldn't have enough bombs and missiles to continue on with the Palestinian genocide. "I plan on calling back Congress for a special session, in order to get their rubber stamp of approval on sending more munitions to our Israeli friends, to replace the ones used in the Bethlehem strike. Of course, this will be without any strings attached and they won't need to pay back the 300 million USD it's expected to cost the American taxpayer."

The White House stated that President Bush was at an AIPAC dinner, receiving an award for being a friend of Israel and was unavailable for comment.

Secretary of State Condi Rice also was unavailable for comment, her spokesperson said as the Secretary was in New York, shopping for shoes.<<

I may well be biased against evangelicals but to assume my complaints are unfounded is your own bias.

You are definitely biased against "evangelicals. Of course you can admit it. Its the bias that is popular with the left. Even college professors admit this bias.

Yes, stores play Christmas songs right after Thanksgiving and thats a great excuse to nurse your resentment. Have you noticed that most Christmas songs aren't even religious themed? Jingle Bells, White Christmas, Silver Bells, yada yada ...

I don't know why you aren't indignant about all the Christmas-themed movies on TV this time of year. Maybe its because they're all about Santa Claus or something and not a single one of them has anything to do with Christianity. With the Christmas music, occasionally something like Silent Night will be sneaked in. So one can get indignant at Christians over that. Remember every time you hear a Christmas tune or hear a Merry Christmas, it means the fanatic Christian theocrats are trying to stuff their religion down your throat!

Just exactly how are you imposed on by the religious right? They can't compel you to become a Christian. They can't make you celebrate Christmas. They aren't even able to keep you from aborting your kids if you want to. They can't keep Chris from visiting prostitutes. They can't punish you for having homo sex if you want. What exactly are they doing to you or preventing you from doing? I don't think you can name anything - I think you're just looking for an excuse for your intolerance.

They pushed the federal gov't to intervene in the case of T. Schiavo. Not only was it unprecedented and a wrong move, but it added to the already ridiculous budget deficit by having to pick up the cost of more than half of Congress flying back to DC during their August break and then flying home again. If that was the only time evangelicals have imposed their will on Americans and their taxes, it would be too much. As it is, that's not the only time.

Thats all you can come up with? Christian pro-lifers trying to save Terry Schiavo's life amounts to persecuting you? Incredible.

"it added to the already ridiculous budget deficit by having to pick up the cost of more than half of Congress flying back to DC .."

Wow! Now we know why the budget is out of whack. Its because the Christian prolifers are making Congress waste all our money on airfare.

Seriously, your failure to come up with anything better than that to justify your claims of "being imposed on by the religious right" is pathetic. You've inadvertently shown you are not in fact "imposed on".

How would a nativity scene in a public park hurt you? Thats the public display that is usually mentioned in regard to Christmas.

It wouldn't hurt me....I'm Christian but it could well hurt a Jew, a Muslim or an Agnostic.

There's no reason any of these groups should be hurt by this. They know Christians are a majority in this country and that knowledge doesn't hurt them. Now if there are Jews or Muslims who are primarily hardcore liberals first and foremost and share the liberal hatred of Christians, they might be "hurt".

I certainly would not be hurt by seeing a menorah displayed. And I don't think any other Christian would either - not counting the alleged Christian, Emile, who recently appeared on this board. Come to think of it, anti-Christian liberals have a lot in common with Emile.

As for Muslims, they have a thing about images so its harder to think of something comparable. Hmm, I drive by a Cambodian Buddhist temple near my home every day and occasionally I see some yellow flags hanging out for some reason and I'm never offended or "hurt" by seeing that.

As a nation, we chose diversity, and so with diversity, we have to respect that one culture/ethnic group/race/religion should not and can not dominate the rest.

I don't think "we" ever chose to suppress our religious culture in the name of diversity. I think we chose to be a tolerant society and tolerance goes two ways.
