you are right - the biggest stinkers are still to come - and probably out of europe. Banks/Fin Institutions are sitting on a huge amount of corporate debt issued in the last 2 years at a ridiculous spread. A lot of it is hidden in CDOs, some in CPDOs and God knows what else. No one is talking about this yet -
It is easy for the politicians/fed to cry over foreclosures and push through plans to save the homeowners - much tougher to justify doing it if the losses are on corporate loans. So it is being almost completely kept out of press and commentary.
This combined with inflation picking up around the world - it is going to be fun.
