You would think that the creation of supplementary firefighting capability—the costs of which are borne entirely by the homeowners who choose to live in fire zones, instead of taxpayers—would be a cause for at least mild enthusiasm. Instead, it was greeted with howls of class warfare.

You would think that the rich would understand how frustrating it is to know they are facing a fire with little protection while the rich have their own fire dept at their disposal. The author intended this article to be one that shows how silly and knitpicky the non rich are. Instead, it shows how far the rich have distanced themselves from the rest of us and how privileged their lives are.

There is a growing frustration in this country.....people are getting tired of watching the rich flaunt their wealth while the rest get screwed.
