you guys are so funny. Your envy is obvious. Whatever that "carbon footprint" is about, and I don't follow it, I can ASSURE YOU that people in N CA have much lower carbon footprint than almost anywhere else in the US, by virtue of the high cost of real estate here. Tons of people with 5 million in the bank don't feel rich here and live in houses under 2K square feet. In texas, as we can all see from 60 minutes and other national shows, every LOCAL YOKEL thinks they need to live in a 6K sq ft mcmansion and these are people with tiny net worths. Not only that, there is not much driving here, because the roads are locked up. The real reason people want Priuses is because its such a hassle going to the gas station. When people do buy status vehicles and some do, they don't drive them! If there ever was a way to calculate pollution per capita in the US, this place would be the absolute lowest and certainly the lowest vs the wealth here.
