yeah but he is scared. He is scared that if the blue states get this legislation that his lifestyle of big gas guzzling cars and huge mcmansions and cheap energy that only HE wants will be threatened and he is right.

I don't really follow that carbon footprint thing but there is no doubt that the carbon footpriint of a typical blue state resident is way way way way below that of a red state resident just by virtue of real estate prices alone. I am sure N CA is the lowest carbon footprint in the nation with NY a close second or maybe they are reversed. The blue states are used to conservation with so many people packed in and the red states are not. They think their big oil company tax credits and SUV huge writeoffs will go down if they are marginilized to only the poor red states with the rich states all wanting these new mandates and they are right.

If you look at a map of the states that want the CA emission standards it is like EVERY coastal state, every rich state, NY, CA, WA, FL etc all of them and that leaves only the midwest and low per capita states to buy the huge SUVs.

Many CFB do not maintain stated lumens. They trail off rather quickly.
