Bush's borrowing is not only unprecedented, but most of it is still off the books. There is Veteran care, pensions, and war without end to pay. More importantly, Bush Jr. squandered the peace dividend that fueled the last economic expansion. He has once again diverted trade potential into hostility which may cause relatively sparse profits for the military-industrial complex, but will siphon many trillions of what have should have been peaceful trade around the world. TP
