I could say the same thing about cars sold by Ford, but I'd rather have some consistency in the reliability.

But, that is the problem. They either die pretty quickly, or they last a long time. So part of it is an infant mortality problem.

In addition, they are very heat sensitive. If the fixture doesn't have good air circulation, they die early that way too.


It may well be the company. I just told Ten that I have never had one die since I started using them 7 years ago. And I have never bought one because the city keeps handing them out.
