if you buy a car out of state its a big hassle to license it here, you need to take it to an emissions center and get it certified etc. Doesn't matter if its a clean car, every car. People used to buy cars out of state but now nobody does.

I don't have time to fly all over and bring up a car from fresno.

You know where I live, bay area and you are googling so why couldn't you find a ton of them in SF? If they are so readily available why even SUGGEST another state?

I'll tell you what you will find if you look for Priuses in the coastal regions of the country... that would be WA and CA... you will find some inventory some places very little... and then when you show up there they don't have them. If its a megadealer they will try to convince the Prius buyers to buy a big american SUV with the tax credit. I think by suggesting Nevada you basically made my point.
