If your trying to attack this argument you might have some point, but attacking "cannot be true", is attacking a straw man. Talk about a straw man! What do you think those using the argument are trying to say? I think it is very clear they are saying that since CO2 lags temps in the historical record, CO2 is not the likely cause of any observed warming now, hence humans are not the cause of the current warming trend which is "natural" in some other way. If you seriously think they are saying something else, please do enlighten me. Please define exactly what you mean by "the CO2/temp phase argument." Uh?? You've never run across this one? You got to be kidding me!
