Heck yeah! I learned all about Jesus from being taken to Sunday school and then to church from the age of < 1 until I was a teenager! As a teenager, after having been baptized and not feeling the Lord fill me, I asked my dad if he believed in that stuff. He said no, but it makes your mom happy.

Years later as an adult, I asked my mom if SHE believed in that stuff. She said not really, but church is a great place to meet good people. I asked her why she and dad had taken me there my whole life when neither of them believed in it, and she said she felt I needed to be exposed to it so I would understand it, and she enjoyed the social aspects of it.

"I was raised as one and am familiar with the teachings of Christ."

That is a point many born agains miss. Just because you don't go to their church doesn't mean you are unaware of the Bible.

Another point they miss is just because you don't belong to a particular sect doesn't mean you don't believe in a higher power and don't have your own sense of spirituality. For many of us, organized religion is offensive.
