Er... I'm not in favor of that. IIRC, the B in BDS has been one of the main driving factors behind that one. He is really handing pork to the right leaning American Farmer. I think that is his goal.

Also, in the USA, I don't think many trees have been knocked down for ethanol. In Brazil it is true, but at least there, the efficiency of sugarcane _> fuel is pretty good. Better than oil IIRC (8:1 vs. about 5:1 for oil these days).
