it is not their religion as it is with repubs The Southern Baptist organization in Central Texas had a huge business in selling the babies from unwed white teenagers to infertile couples. After the Roe vs. Wade decision their income was cut drastically. They have been bitter and spiteful ever since. It didn't help that their move to get a political victory gave them the Hyde amendment in 1976. This meant that the overwhelming number of teenagers that took them up on their offer to take their babies had much too dark skin to sell well in their traditional markets. Consequently most of the "homes for unwed mothers" closed down and the preachers had to live off their tithes instead of the lucrative baby trade. They have never forgotten or forgiven. TP
