Only one correction to make which is that I
suppose I first skied (at Mount Pilchuck
before that closed down, and at Stevens)
in 1974--so my 35 years was a tad off.

I think the whole thing was extra emotional
for me because we pretty much learned to ski right
there--my brother and I at Stevens, Triple Chair
(Daisy now) and Brooks.

We skied along rope tows alot back then too--
they ran one just south of Big Chief. But
the slow lifts they have now (and also slow
down for easy on/easy off) for little tykes
are just great.

It would not have been a good day to ski today.
6000 foot snow level, except isothermal around 32/33
in the Passes. Yuck. Better on Monday and very
good skiing will be had through next week up here
in Wa.
