i think we have an over reaction here in defense of rebel.

my point was what rebel or police said. they were after the pot in the house. I do not care what the kids did prior. why did the kids try to break into his house. there was pot in the house.. it was known there was pot in the house.. Why did they know there was pot in the house.. Is rebel also a dealer? We only know what he shares with us. We have listened to his pot telling stories for over a year now.

I don't care if he had pot or not. I made the statement the kids robbed his house for pot.. if they were not aware of pot in the house the kids would not have attempted to break in. Yes, kids robbed plenty of places, they are experienced.

You miss my whole point..if there were no drugs, there would have been no robbery, no shooting. drugs create more crimes. it is a quick way for kids etc to get money or use. Let's be thankful his family wasn't injured. Let's be thankful the kids didn't carry weapons. all this again happen because of drugs in the house.

It is two separate issues for the law. but not for the reason of the break in and the risk he put his family in. I also hope he is not putting his family into a fire hazard. we read of fires caused by heat lamps to grow pot in houses.

I still remember back in 1972 one of my dispatchers got arrested. i knew because the arrest and film of pot growing in the upstairs of the house. He was on the providence r.i. 11pm news and all day the next day. Nice guy, quiet, great worker, i never let him go, kept him working until he was convicted. I never cared about his personal life, never accused him of breaking the law etc. my interest was his work and relationships at work.
